Mushfiqur Rahim struck an unbeaten 203 -- his third double ton in Test cricket -- on the third day of the one off Test against Zimbabwe. The right-hander already held the record for the greatest number of double centuries for Bangladesh and he celebrated his third double hundred in Test cricket a little differently today.

He made a face and made a movement with his hands to suggest claws before pumping his fist in traditional Mushfiqur style. He then went onto show that it was in tribute to someone small in stature. His celebration piqued everyone's interest and asked at the press conference what his celebration was about, Mushfiqur said that he had dedicated the double ton to his son Mayan.

"It was a normal celebration and I did not think ahead about what I was going to do. My son is a big fan of dinosaurs and whenever he watches dinosaurs, he celebrates and gets excited about it. My double century was for him," he said smilingly.

Mushfiqur reiterated that he was planning on a triple hundred. It would have been the first time any batsman from Bangladesh would have done it in an international fixture.

"I didn't actually expect that the team were going to declare. I thought that because we had two days and since if we bat longer, the wicket will deteriorate more, it could have happened [the triple century].

"The team however always comes first. We hadn't discussed anything like that at Tea and half an hour after Tea, we were given the message that we will ask them to bat eight overs or something like that. That's when we tried to accelerate. Before that the plan was that if Liton gets a hundred then I will be able to get a 300 along with him since it's always easier when you are batting with another batsman. But in any case, a 300 would not have been possible by today and it would have required me to bat tomorrow in the first session. But I will try to grab any opportunity I get in the future," Mushfiqur said.

The plan to declare paid off very early as Zimbabwe lost two wickets in two deliveries in the very first over of the innings off the bowling of Nayeem Hasan. "What happened is that we are in a very good position as a team," Mushfiqur remarked.
