Shakib conundrum continues

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) cricket operations chairman Akram Khan informed that the board will clarify the Shakib Al Hasan conundrum regarding the upcoming India tour tomorrow when the board will also announce a revised T20 squad for the tour.
Bangladesh ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, who played a pivotal role in the players' strike that started on October 21 and lasted three days, has missed the last two practice sessions ahead of the Tigers' tour of India next month.
Shakib's absence in the two practice matches ahead of the tour had created a lot of confusion regarding the 32-year all-rounder's participation in the upcoming tour. However, Akram informed that Shakib had asked for the coach's permission for the two practice matches that he missed.
"If Shakib will go to the tour or not, we can clear it out tomorrow. There is no uncertainty as there are no official statements so far. Shakib had asked for the coach's permission for the two practice sessions that he missed. We can let you know about the situation in detail tomorrow," said Akram to the reporters in Mirpur today.
Moreover, all-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin's recurring back injury and opener Tamim Iqbal's self withdrawal from the tour have made the BCB rethink about the T20 squad for the India tour. On October 17, the BCB had announced a 15-member squad for the three T20Is, starting from November 3. However, that squad will see some changes when the BCB will be announcing a revised T20 squad tomorrow.
"We will announce the [revised] T20 team at noon tomorrow. We will however need two to three days time to announce the Test squad. There was an issue of playing pink-ball Test [day-night Test] during the tour and we actually need to discuss it with our players, coaches and the team management." said Akram.
