Tamim could miss part of India tour
Bangladesh's star opener Tamim Iqbal could very well miss part of the India T20 and Test series due to personal reasons.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Cricket Operations chairman Akram Khan confirmed to The Daily Star that Tamim's availability will depend on a certain medical test.
"It will be understood in two- or three-days' time. [Whether he plays or not] It will be understood after a medical test. It's what I have been hearing and nothing is decided yet. If he doesn't go then someone else will. Whether he will be able to play is the main thing. If he can't, someone else will go. However, we always have backup plays made," Akram told The Daily Star.
Bangladesh are set to play a three-match T20I series in India, starting from November 3 before they play a two-match Test series with the first Test slated to begin from November 14.
