Not every day goes the same, says Soumya
Bangladesh left handed opener Soumya Sarker insisted that not every day goes as planned but everyone always tries to perform well and that requires hard work.
"Everyone tries to perform well. Not every day goes the same. Performing well every day can sometime reduce the hunger. As I am going through a lean patch, I am trying to focus and work hard to overcome the bad times and move forward. I always try to deliver my best in my position. I try to perform well but overall the performances are often good or bad." Soumya explained regarding his recent consistency trouble.
Soumya also revealed how he tries to handle criticism and move forward by working harder in the training sessions to do better.
"I could not perform well in last few matches. There is always the urge to do better. I realize that I am not playing well when I hear people talk. All the criticism always reminds me about it. I try not to focus on them and continue working hard in the training sessions," Soumya concluded.
The Tigers are currently undergoing a training camp ahead of the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan which starts on June 3.
