An inter-university chess championship under the aegis of the BRAC University Chess Club and sponsored by Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited will be held from September 25 to 27.

This was disclosed yesterday at the National Press Club, where the country's first Grandmaster Niaz Murshed presented a key note speech for the three-day meet.  AKM Sadeque Nawaj, marketing's general manager of sponsors Berger Paints, and Syeda Sarwat Abed, director of BRAC Institute of Languages, also attended the briefing.  It will be a team event of four players per side and is open for any university to compete.
