Coutinho move 'leaked' by Nike
After spilling the beans about Cristiano Ronaldo picking up his fifth Ballon d'Or a day before the event in Paris, Nike has yet again apparently leaked internal information as they began promoting Barcelona jerseys with Liverpool star Phillipe Coutinho's name on the back.
Nike's official website featured a strip down the middle, with the headline 'Where the Magic Happens'. Below that it read: "Philippe Coutinho is ready to light up Camp Nou. Get your 2017/18 FC Barcelona kit with the Magician's name on it. Act fast -- free personalisation only available until 6 January."
The Catalan, Spanish, French, German, Italian, UK, Danish, Swedish and Norwegian versions of Nike's website featured the message, although upon closer inspection of the source code it was found that the message was not planned on being made public until the January 1, when the winter transfer window opens.
Coutinho has been courted by Barcelona since the summer transfer window and although the move did not materialise then, it may only be a matter of time before the 25-year-old makes the switch.
It has been reported that Coutinho has been very interested in joining Barcelona and although the Blaugrana signed Ousmane Dembele in a 180-million-euros deal, they are said to be keen on the Brazilian to replace the aging Andres Iniesta.
