Afghanistan thrash Pakistan to win U-19 Asia Cup
Afghanistan U-19 side beat Pakistan U-19 emphatically by 185 runs to win the U-19 Asia Cup Kinrara Academy Oval, Kuala Lumpur.
Afghanistan posted 248 runs on the board for the loss of seven wickets courtesy of a fine ton from wicket-keeper Ikram Ali Khil after Pakistan had won the toss and elected to bowl first at the Kinrara Academy Oval in Kuala Lumpur. Ikram scored a 113-ball 107, an innings that contained 10 four’s and two sixes.
Mujeeb Zadran removed both Pakistan openers early on and Pakistan never really recovered as Mujeeb went on to grab a five-wicket haul.
Pakistan U-19 were eventually bowled out for 63 runs in just 22.1 overs. Leg-spinner Qais Ahmad bagged three wickets for Afghanistan.
