Afridi hat-trick marks beginning of T10 era
Shahid Afridi accomplishes a hat-trick to help the Pakhtoons beat Virender Sehwag's Maratha Arabians by 25 runs in a T10 match at Sharjah.
The all-rounder, who recently featured for Dhaka Dynamites in the recently concluded BPL, picked up a hat-trick with the first three balls he bowled to help his team beat a Maratha Arabians side captained by Virender Sehwag.
Afridi first removed Rilee Rossouw, then he trapped Dwane Bravo right in front and Virender Sehwag fell in similar fashion in the following ball. Batting first, the Afridi-led side managed 121/6 from their 10 overs. In reply, Sehwag's Arabians could only manage 96 from their full quota of overs and lost seven wickets in the process.
"I really enjoyed it, it is totally different," Afridi said after the game. "The boys did really well,” Afridi was quoted as saying by India Today.
