Afif skips GT20 Canada due to visa complications
Bangladesh batter Afif Hossain was forced to sit out the Global T20 League in Canada after visa complications disallowed him to travel to the country.
The 23-year-old was all set to go to Canada after having gotten his No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Bangladesh Cricket Board.
However, visa complications have now forced him to skip the franchise tournament.
"Afif was given NOC but he could not leave due to visa-related complications," a BCB source told The Daily Star today.
Afif was set to feature alongside Liton Das for Surrey Jaguars. The team are still in with a chance to make the playoffs, courtesy of their position in the top four in the standings with two more games left.
