Bangladesh confirm Super 6 stage
Bangladesh ensured their place in Super 6 stage of the ICC Women's U-19 World Cup with an 18-run victory against Scotland in their last Group D fixture in Selangor on Wednesday.
Skipper Sumaiya Akter scored an unbeaten 29 off 36 deliveries to guide Bangladesh to 121 for nine in 20 overs. Leg-spinner Anisa Akter Shova then took four wickets for 25 runs to restrict Scotland to 103 for eight wickets.
This was Bangladesh's second win in three matches. They had started their campaign with a five-wicket win against Nepal before suffering a two-wicket defeat against Australia.
The Super 6 stage will feature two groups of six teams each from where four teams will move into the semifinals.
