Despite a solid start, courtesy of openers Zawad Abrar (24 off 22 balls) and Kalam Siddiki - the top-scorer with a 134-ball 95, and a steady middle period, Bangladesh lost their way in the latter stage of the innings, losing their six wickets for 47 runs and getting bundled out for 219 in pursuit of a 228-run target.

Off-spinner VIhas Thewmika was the pick of the bowlers for Sri Lanka as he returned three wickets for 37 runs.

Earlier, Bangladesh pacer Al Fahad starred with four wickets and seamer Rizan Hossan picked up three to bundle out Sri Lanka for 228 in 49.2 overs. Vimath Dinsara scored a 132-ball 106 alongside most of Sri Lanka's middle-order made contributions to help their side past 200.

Both the sides had already ensured qualification to the final four of the tournament, with Sri Lanka guaranteeing to go through to the semis as group-winners after the win against Bangladesh.
