Fizz strikes twice inside Powerplay
Bangladesh left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman struck twice in the Powerplay to leave New Zealand two down for 32 runs after seven overs in the second ODI of the three-match series at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Saturday.
The Fizz got one to zip off the surface as he nicked off New Zealand opener Will Young for nought in the second over of the innings to give the Tigers their first breakthrough.
The Fizz angled one across on a short-of-a-good-length but the ball ramped up on Young surprising the right-handed batter, who geared up to fend it but ended up nicking it to Liton Das behind the stumps.
For his second, he bowled nicked off the other opener Finn Allen in the seventh over when he dished out a full-length delivery outside off-stump which made Allen flash out a drive. The right-handed batter failed to make proper contact and edged one to Soumya Sarker at first slip.
