Fizz strikes twice in Powerplay

Bangladesh fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman nicked off New Zealand opener Finn Allen in the seventh over of the innings to give the Tigers their first breakthrough in the ODI opener of the three-match series at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Thursday.
The Fizz pitched one on leg stump that went across the line after pitching. Allen tried to play it on the leg side but ended up getting an outside edge that made wicketkeeper Nurul Hasan Sohan fly across to his right to grab an acrobatic catch.
Allen's fall meant New Zealand were one down for 14 runs in the seventh over.
In the ninth over of the innings, the Fizz struck again in similar fashion to dismiss batter Chad Bowes. The right-handed batter's stay at the crease lasted for three ball only through which he managed one run before conceding a thick outside edge to a wide delivery angling across to wicketkeeper Sohan. This left the Blackcaps at 19 for the loss of two wickets.
Earlier, the match got curtailed to 42 overs after rain interrupted play in the fifth over of the innings.
