Gurbaz, Zadran put on highest-ever ODI stand for Afghanistan

Afghanistan openers Ibrahim Zadran and Rahmanullah Gurbaz recorded the the highest-ever ODI stand for the country as they put on 223 runs after the completion of the 34th over in the second of the three-match series at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Saturday.
Mohammad Shahzad and Karim Sadiq stitched an unbeaten 218 for the second-wicket stand (their highest-ever partnership for any wicket prior to today's fixture) against Scotland in 2018.
There had been five instances of 300-plus partnerships in ODI history, with two of those involving the opening stand.
Gurbaz was unbeaten on 123, while Zadran, not out on 69, is approaching his fourth ODI ton in 13 matches.
