Liton misfires with bat in Surrey win
Bangladesh batter Liton Das was sharp with the gloves but flopped with the bat as his side, the Surrey Jaguars, cruised to an eight-wicket win over Mississauga Panthers in the GT20 Canada on Wednesday.
Liton executed a stumping to help remove Shoaib Malik and broke the stumps after a Spencer Johnson throw to send Usman Qadir packing in the first innings as Surrey bundled out Mississauga for 56.
With the bat, Liton put away two boundaries but couldn't carry on as he was dismissed for a 13-ball 10 off the bowling of right-arm pacer Cecile Pervez.
A 23-ball 37 from opener Mohammad Haris ensured Surrey crossed the finish line in style with 11 overs remaining.
With their fourth win of the tournament, Surrey moved to the top of the table with 10 points from seven matches, while Mississauga sit bottom, still yet to record their first win in the competition.
