A second rain interruption caused the first ODI between Bangladesh and Afghanistan to be reduced to 43 overs per side at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Wednesday.

Bangladesh resumed their first innings at 144 for seven in the 35th over, with Towhid Hridoy batting on 42 and Taskin Ahmed unbeaten on three.
