Mushfiqur, Mahmudullah at hospital to see Tamim after Mohammedan win

It was crisis situation at BKSP when Tamim Iqbal, the Mohammedan captain, was taken to hospital after suffering a heart attack during the DPL match against Shinepukur Cricket Club.

Tamim had participated during the toss and he was slated to open the innings with Rony Talukdar. After a successful stent surgery, Tamim is currently under observation. Miraz and Rony Talukder stitched together a 164-run stand in chase of Shinepukur's 223 all out. Miraz completed a ton, hitting an 86-ball 103 while Rony managed 61 as Mohammedan won by seven wickets at BKSP 4.

Earlier, after Tamim left the field after the toss, Nasum Ahmed, Miraz and Mohammad Saifuddin bagged two wickets each while Taijul Islam scalped three for Mohammedan to restrict Shinepukur to 223. Rayan Rafsan hit a team-high 77 for Shinepukur while Shariful Islam contributed 57 coming in at number nine.

Following the match, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudulllah Riyad, Miraz and other cricketers headed to the KPJ Specialised Hospital in Savar to see their teammate.

"This morning we were so happy!! But everything changed so suddenly!! You were at the operation theatre and we were busy at the field without you. How we were feeling can't be explained. We want to see you happy, not in the hospital bed. Come back quickly. From the morning we have been praying to the Almighty for you," Mohammedan star Tawhid Hridoy posted on his Facebook.

In another game at BKSP 3, Prime Bank won by 34 runs against Agrani Bank. Sabbir Hossain hit a 121-ball 102 at the top while Irfan Shukkur also struck an unbeaten 94-ball 107. Shahadat Dipu's 33-ball 48 saw Prime Bank reach 321 for 3.

Imrul Kayes hit a 115-ball 116 in reply while in-form Shadman Islam contributed with 68. Rishad Hossain and Arafat Sunny bagged three wickets each while Hasan Mahmud got two as Agrani were bowled out for 287 in 47.3 overs.

At Mirpur, Abahani's Nahid Rana and Rakibul Hasan bagged four wickets each to restrict Dhanmondi Sports Club to 201 for 9. Abahani completed the chase in 39.2 overs, winning by five wickets as Parvez Hossain Emon struck an unbeaten 133-ball 124 while Mosaddek Hossain struck 54.
