Pacer Mustafizur Rahman is set to feature for Mohammedan Sporting Club in their super league matches of the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League.

Mohammedan manager Sazzad Ahmed Shipon confirmed the development to The Daily Star on Tuesday, adding that the left-arm pacer has agreed to represent them in the super league matches.

Mustafizur was seen practising with other Mohammedan players during a training session at the National Cricket Academy in Mirpur on Tuesday.

The left-arm pacer had originally not taken a token for the DPL players' transfer and didn't feature in the league phase matches in the ongoing meet.

Mustafizur had taken a PRP injection on March 11 after an old shoulder injury resurfaced for the left-arm pacer, who had been on a break since playing the Champions Trophy.

Sazzad also confirmed that they have included a few more cricketers in their side after few of their registered cricketers were named in the Test squad for two-match Test series against Zimbabwe -- starting in Sylhet on April 20 -- while some players have injury problems.

The super league matches will start on April 17.

Mohammedan are currently in second place with 18 points, same as table-toppers Abahani, who are ahead in terms of net run-rate.
