Mustafizur overtakes Shakib in IPL

Mustafizur Rahman overtook Shakib Al Hasan as the most successful Bangladeshi bowler in the Indian Premier League (IPL) with his three-wicket haul for the Delhi Capitals against Punjab Kings in Jaipur yesterday.

Mustafizur claimed 3-33 in his four overs, which took his wicket tally in the IPL to 65 in 60 matches. Shakib, on the other hand, has 63 wickets to his name in 71 games.

Delhi, who won yesterday's match by six wickets, brought in the Bangladeshi left-arm pacer as a replacement for Australia's Mitchell Starc.

Mustafizur played just three games this season for Delhi, in which he took four wickets. However, his stint with Delhi has come to an end as his side failed to make it into the knockout stage of the competition.

Shakib, meanwhile, is playing for Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), who will face Quetta Gladiators in the final today.
