PSL 10 to continue as scheduled despite Pakistan-India conflict

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has made an important announcement regarding Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 10 amid the ongoing conflict with India. According to the board, the tournament will continue as scheduled despite the military escalation.
In the background of these tensions, India reportedly launched over 20 attacks on six Pakistani cities. In response, Pakistani forces conducted counter-operations, reportedly destroying five Indian aircraft, including a Rafale fighter jet.
The PCB confirmed that today's match between Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators will take place as scheduled at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. According to the board's statement, four matches are scheduled in Rawalpindi from May 7 to May 10, while the final group stage match will be played in Multan on May 11.
The board further stated that the playoff stage will begin with the qualifier on May 13 in Rawalpindi, while the eliminators and final will be held at Qaddafi Stadium in Lahore on May 14, 16, and 18.
This decision underscores the PCB's commitment to maintaining sporting activities even during challenging national circumstances.
There are two Bangladeshi players involved with the PSL this season. Leg-spinner Rishad Hossain is playing for Lahore Qalandars while pacer Nahid Rana is with Peshawar Zalmi. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), in a press release, stated that "it is closely monitoring the evolving security situation over the past 24 hours...The board has been in regular contact with Bangladesh national team players Rishad Hossain and Nahid Rana, who are participating in the ongoing PSL. BCB President Faruque Ahmed is also personally keeping track of the developments and has spoken directly with PSL CEO Salman Naseer and Rishad to ensure the players' safety and peace of mind."
