Rain washes out Bangladesh-New Zealand ODI opener
Rain played spoilsport as the first ODI between Bangladesh and New Zealand was called off due to rain at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Thursday.
Prior to the announcement, there was were interruptions in the fifth over of the innings and then in the 34th over.
New Zealand were at 136 for five after being put into bat first by Bangladesh skipper Liton Das.
For the visitors, opener Will Young struck a fifty as he played a 91-ball 58-run knock, while left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman was the pick of the bowlers, taking three Blackcaps wickets.
