Mohammedan Sporting Club registered their second win of the ongoing Dhaka Premier League season as they beat Agrani Bank Cricket Club by 39 runs at the BKSP-4 Ground on Wednesday.

Soumya Sarkar got a breather from his poor run of form as he top-scored with a 91-ball 56 where he put away six fours and a six to do justice to his name.

However, there were no significant performances from the rest of the pack but 20s from five batters, including Mahmudullah Riyad's run-a-ball 23-run-knock helped Mohammedan Sporting Club to eventually post a modest total of 220 for nine.

Agrani, in reply, had Shamsul Islam's 46 as the highlight of their chase as they were bundled out for 181 in 48.2 overs.
Left-arm spinner Nazmul Islam and pacer Mushfik Hasan picked up three wickets each for Mohammedan.

At the BKSP-3 Ground, Brothers Union beat Dhaka Leopards by five wickets to record their second win of the tournament.

After bowling out Dhaka for a meagre total of 198, Brothers chased the target riding on fifties from Tanzid Hasan and Myshukur Rahman. Opener Tanzid top-scored with 67-ball 71, while Myshukur was not out on 51 as they helped their side reach the target with 49 balls to spare.

In another low-scoring affair, City Club successfully defended a total of 226 to clinch a 23-run win over Shinepukur Cricket Club at the Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah.

Maaz Sadaqat top-scored with 65 and Shahriar Komol added 54 runs to help City go beyond 200 after being sent to bat first.

In reply, Shinepukur, despite the 121-run second wicket stand between opener Jishan Alam and Amite Hasan, lost their way in the middle and were eventually all out for 203 in 41.4 overs.

Jishan top-scored with a 75-ball 86 as he hit seven sixes and four boundaries, while Amite took 91 balls for his 53 runs.

Robiul Haque bagged three, while Irfan Hossain and Rafsan Al Mahmud took two each for City to register their third win in the league.
