Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed is heading to England today to consult doctors regarding the Achilles injury he has been suffering from which saw him ruled out of the ongoing Test series against Zimbabwe.

Taskin had been suffering from Achilles Tendinopathy since the West Indies series and will be hoping that following consultation there is some remedy to reduce pain and maintain the injury given the important assignments coming up. Taskin will have an appointment with doctor James Calder on April 29th.

"He is heading to England today and he has an appointment with the doctor day after tomorrow. The doctor is an ankle surgeon. We have researched ourselves and contacted the ECB before taking our decision and the best possible option was chosen," BCB chief physican Debashish Chowdhury told The Daily Star.

The paceman had also been undergoing rehabilitation and was seen bowling with light intensity at Mirpur Academy Ground yesterday. Taskin will seek the doctor's advice and following the first consultation with the doctors, the next course of action will be determined.

Dr. Debashish is expected to travel to England tomorrow to accompany Taskin.
