Tector hits fourth ODI ton
Ireland batter Harry Tector smashed his fourth ODI hundred to help set up a solid foundation for his side to post a decent total against Bangladesh in the second matches of the three-match series in Chelmsford, England on Friday.
Tector hit six fours and as many sixes to reach the milestone in 93 balls as his contribution helped take Ireland past the 200-run mark with nine overs remaining and five wickets in hand, with George Dockrell unbeaten at the other end.
Prior to that, wicket-keeper batter Lorcan Tucker played an 11-ball 16-run knock to help Tector before falling to Shoriful Islam in the 26th over. Tucker, who came onto the crease with aggressive intent, tried to drive a full-length delivery that was angling across him but he couldn't judge the length and could only nick it to the keeper.
