Tigers on brink of defeat as Shakib, Afif depart

Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan was trapped lbw by Afghanistan off-spinner Mohammad Nabi leaving the hosts five down for 71 in pursuit of 331 in the second ODI of the three-match series at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium on Saturday.
Shakib went back to a good-length delivery that came back with the angle as Nabi came around the wicket. The left-handed batter, who scored a 29-ball 25, failed to make contact and reviewed the decision but it was overturned.
An over later, Afif Hossain's batting woes continued as he departed for a golden duck when he edged one off Rashid Khan to slip to have the Tigers on the brink of another defeat which would seal a series win for Afghanistan.
