Bangabandhu Cup starts today

The Bangabandhu Cup football tournament involving some of the country's most popular clubs like Abahani, Mohammedan and Sheikh Russel will get underway at the Muktijoddha Asaduzzaman Stadium in Magura today.

Apart from the three Dhaka-based clubs, nine more teams from Magura and outside are scheduled to take part in the tournament which is being organized by the Asaduzzaman Football Academy in Magura.

Asaduzzaman Football Academy will take on Jhenaidah district in the opening match of the tournament.

Deputy minister Arif Khan Joy, BFF vice presidents Kazi Nabil Ahmed and Badal Roy, BFF executive committee member Sheikh Mohammad Aslam and former national footballer Golam Rabbani Helal are also expected to be present there.
