BFF prepares 3-yr calendar
The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has decided to prepare a calendar for the next three years by December 10 in a pursuit of synchronizing all domestic competitions for the sake the national football team's development.
Aside from preparing the calendar, the game's governing body has also asked the professional football league committee and the Dhaka Metropolis Football League Committee to prepare separate policies for the respective leagues and tournaments they run.
The decisions were made at the BFF executive committee meeting on the wake of the continuous poor performance of the national football team which has hit an all-time low in Bangladesh's football history.
The meeting also discussed the formation of all sub-committees by October 30 and endorsed the participating teams of Bangladesh Championship League which will get underway later in October after a 15-day transfer takes place from October 1 to 15.
It was also informed that the meeting has emphasised the fact that to have an age-level team is mandatory for all professional league teams and that the game's governing body will have strong roles in maintaining the age-group squad of the clubs.
Meanwhile, the Kazi Salahuddin-led committee could only reveal the calendar for only two seasons in nine years but they could not maintain it.
