Ronaldo’s Ballon d’or raises 600,000 euros in charity

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Ballon d’or raises 600,000 euros at a charity event of the Make-A-Wish charity foundation that gives seriously ill children a chance to realise their dreams and focus on something positive.

The amount when converted to taka amounts to roughly almost six crore taka. Cristiano donated his Ballon d’or trophy which was bought by Idan Ofer, one of the richest person in Israel.

The sum will go into the functioning of the organization as per Marca.

Ronaldo, who has four Ballon d’Ors to his name has donated the replica of the trophy he won in 2013. The original is usually kept by the player or the club.

The Make-a-Wish foundation, which is based in London is one of the most exclusive charity organizations in Britain.

Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola and his rival Jose Mourinho have also donated 30,000 euros to the organization. The coaches will participate in a meet and greet session and watch a boxing match in Manchester as part of the program.
