Groundwork being laid for Neymar’s Madrid move?
In Brazil the rumours are gaining pace about Neymar’s possible move to Spanish giants Real Madrid. Madrid have openly courted Neymar on several occasions and many of their players have openly suggested quite recently that the Brazilian should move to the Spanish capital to fulfill his ambitions of becoming the world’s best and challenge the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
After PSG were ousted from the Champions League by Real Madrid, the flirtations from Madrid have only increased.
Three Real players, Raphael Varane, Casemiro and Dani Carvajal were interviewed by three different outlets and the only thing in common was that all three believed Neymar would be a perfect fit with Los Blancos. While PSG president Nasser El Khelafi has suggested on numerous occasions that Neymar is not moving anywhere, the forward during his move to PSG from Barcelona had already shown that he can force a move.
According to Brazilian website UOL Esporte, agent Pini Zahavi is paying close attention to Real Madrid’s offer and finalising the details of a possible transfer. The website said that Zahavi met with Neymar and his people and they are looking at Real Madrid’s offer. Zahavi was also key in Neymar’s move to PSG from Barcelona and the agent has good connection with Real president Florentino Perez.
Zahavi apparently had a few meetings with the Real chief in recent weeks. The agent sat down with Neymar’s entourage at Hotel Emiliano in Sao Paolo , where Zahavi explained all the economic details of Perez's offer to Neymar.
