Marco Veratti is the perfect player for Barcelona, says Ronaldo

PSG and Italian midfielder Marco Veratti’s future remains in the balance. Several media outlets in Spain have claimed that the Italian wants to sign for Barcelona and has made certain gestures to make his intention clear to his current club club.

Former Brazilian forward Ronaldo Nazário was asked in an interview with 'La Gazzetta dello Sport' whether Verratti would fit into the Barca team.

‘El Fenomeno’ replied: “Verratti should go to Barca? My answer is simple: for his qualities, Verratti is a perfect player for Barca.”

Ronaldo encouraged the Italian midfielder to play at the Camp Nou.

"Marco Verratti deserves to play for a great European club and Barça is one of the strongest," the Brazilian added.

PSG are unwilling to let go of their prized asset and he is one of the most important member of their current squad.

Verrati joined the French club in 2012 and has a contract with PSG till 2020.

A Mundo Deportivo report claims that Veratti’s buy-out clause is an impediment to Barcelona.  

Marco Verratti’s agent Donato Di Campli was asked by Sky Sports about Barcelona’s interest.

“Barcelona? I prefer not to talk about it. We are keeping a low profile,” Di Campli replied diplomatically.
