Newly appointed performance analyst Abdullah Nasif Islam believes he can ease the workload of the head coaches of the national football teams by preparing short presentations on the individual players as well as the national teams in the coming days.

Nasif, who had previously worked as the video and GPS analyst of the Bangladesh U-23 national team, as well as gained experience analysing the performance of Sheikh Jamal DC from 2022 to 2024 and Saif Sporting Club from 2020 to 2022, has recently been appointed as the performance analyst for the national football teams by Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF).

"Each person on the coaching staff has a separate responsibility and role. As a performance analyst, I will also have a separate responsibility and role in the national football team," Nasif told reporters at the BFF House today.

Nasif added, "The performance analysis of the national football team was also done before, which was done by the head coach, but my performance analysis will give the head coaches an edge as well as reduce their workload, thus allowing the coach to focus on other things concerning the national teams."

Nasif, however, informed that he would primarily prepare the presentation based on the requirements of the coach.

Nasif also believes he is likely to start his work with the BFF Elite Academy before being involved with the national men's and women's football teams ahead of the FIFA March window.

"I have been given a one-year contract as the performance analyst, and I may be assigned to work with all BFF teams. However, the work style will be the same as it was when I worked at the club level," said Nasif.
