Bangladesh have taken a small but encouraging step forward in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola Men's World Ranking, climbing from 185th to 183rd after their goalless draw against India in a AFC Asian Cup 2027 qualifiers fixture on March 25. They are among several teams making gains in a month filled with high-stakes international action.

A total of 245 matches have taken place globally since the December 2024 rankings, with teams from Africa, Asia, Oceania, and South America competing in FIFA World Cup 26 qualifiers. Meanwhile, Concacaf and UEFA nations battled in their respective Nations League competitions and friendly encounters, leading to significant shifts across the standings.

At the top, Argentina (1st) continue to set the pace after key victories away to Uruguay (1-0) and at home to Brazil (4-1). However, the Albiceleste now have new company, as Spain (2nd, up 1) capitalised on France's (3rd, down 1) setback in Croatia to climb into second place. Les Bleus remain on the podium, with England (4th) and Brazil (5th) rounding out the top five.

The Netherlands (6th, up 1) have overtaken Portugal (7th, down 1) in the chasing pack, while Belgium (8th), Italy (9th), and Germany (10th) maintain their top-10 positions. Croatia (11th, up 2) and Morocco (12th, up 2) continue to push for a place among the elite.

The biggest climbers, however, are Myanmar (162nd, up 7), who have recorded the largest jump in ranking.
