Fans march with 600ft Argentina flag in Pabna

The FIFA World Cup is scheduled to kick off in Qatar on November 20. Argentina supporters in Pabna are as enthusiastic as football fans from around the world. However, this time they have gone one step ahead.
Pabna's Argentina fans have hoisted a 600-feet-long Argentina flag in Baludiar village of Pabna's Chatmohar upazila ahead of the world cup.
Fans of Argentina yesterday brought out a rally in the remote village carrying the huge flag and later hoisted it in the village today. People from different areas came to see the flag, reports our local correspondent.

"We love Argentina, and we hope that they will perform well during the World Cup in Qatar and take home the trophy. We cannot travel to Qatar to watch the matches, so we took the initiative to make this flag to express our passion for football and Argentinian football team," said Farid Uddin, resident of the village.
Another local Selim Reza said all the young fans of Argentina contributed to the making of the enormous flag.
"We have no problem spending money for the flag because we love Argentina and we adore Messi, and we want to convey our excitement through our flag," the young supporters said.
"People from surrounding areas came to see the huge flag, and because of the flag, the entire village has taken on a festive look," said Al-Amin Hossain, another Argentina supporter.
"Not just Argentina supporters, but fans of Brazil and other countries also came to see the flag," he added.
