Hamza says ‘see you soon’ as Bangladesh footballers spread Eid cheer

Fresh off their hard-fought goalless draw against India in the AFC Asian Cup 2027 qualifiers, Bangladesh footballers took a break from the grind to spread festive cheer, extending Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to fans worldwide.
Midfield dynamo Hamza Choudhury, who finally donned Bangladesh colours in a much-anticipated debut on March 25, said: "Assalamualaikum everyone. Just wanna wish everyone Eid Mubarak from me and my family.
'See you soon, inshallah!" said the Sheffield United player, embracing the spirit of togetherness on this special day, through a video message provided by Bangladesh Football Federation.
Defensive rock Tapu Barman reflected on the joy of Eid. "I hope everyone is doing well. As a proud member of the Bangladesh football team, I wish the entire nation a blessed Eid-ul-Fitr.
"May this Eid bring happiness to all. Stay well, stay healthy," said Tapu, who had to be substituted early in the India match in Shillong following discomfort.
Full-back Rahmat Mia took a moment to highlight the deeper meaning of Ramadan, reminding fans of its values. "Fasting teaches us self-restraint. Let's spread love and let go of hatred. Eid Mubarak to all," he said.
Young sensation Sheikh Morsalin tipped his hat to Bangladesh's passionate supporters. "Eid greetings to everyone, at home and abroad. Your love and support are our strength.
"May this holy occasion bring happiness, peace, and prosperity to your lives. Stay safe, Eid Mubarak!"
Jamal Bhuiyan kept things simple yet heartfelt: "Eid Mubarak to all. Hope everyone is well and in good health."
