I am the most complete player ever: Ronaldo

Al-Nassr's Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo has never been shy of making grand statements about his greatness and has declared himself the best ever to play the game of football many times.

In a recent interview on Spanish TV Channel La Sexta, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner once again placed himself above all the past greats and gave himself the title of the 'most complete player ever'.

"Honestly, I have never seen anyone better than me. I believe I am the most complete player to ever exist," said Ronaldo.

"I can do it all in football. I'm good with heading, I strike free-kicks well, I shoot well with my left foot, I'm fast, and I'm strong. Personal preferences vary; some prefer Messi, Pele, or Maradona. I understand and respect that. But to say Cristiano isn't complete is a lie. I am the most complete," he added.

In the interview, Ronaldo, who will turn 40 on Wednesday, spoke about his journey in Saudi Arabia and also shed some light on his future in football.

"In Saudi Arabia, it's going very well, it's been almost two years and I'm really enjoying the experience, I like living here, my family does too. I've always had challenges in my life, since I left Madeira at the age of 12, I'm not intimidated by big challenges, I like them.

"Going to Saudi Arabia was not the same as playing in Europe, but it didn't take away my sleep. I knew what the league was like here, in football you know everything. It was a different direction in my life and I like it a lot.

"I could quit the sport today and I wouldn't regret anything, but it would be a shame because I'm still very good, I'm still making a difference. I would leave myself saying 'I can still make a difference for another year or two', that's why I live very much in the present and I can't think long term."
