Hamza Choudhury thanked everyone for a grand reception and expressed optimism about being "successful" in the Bangladesh team's upcoming Asian Cup Qualifying match against Singapore on June 10 after landing in Dhaka today.

Hamza landed in the Bangladesh capital today to join the Bangladesh team ahead of their home game against Singapore at the National Stadium.

The Leicester City midfielder has already made his debut for Bangladesh in March in a goalless draw against India but will be playing for the first time in front of his home fans in the upcoming match against Singapore.

In a video message sent by the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) today, Hamza expressed his desire to attain success in his home debut.

"Hello, Assalam Walaikum everyone. Just wanted to say thank you to all the fans, media and journalists for my reception again. Looking forward to meeting up with the team and preparing for two big games. Inshallah, we'll be successful and I'll see you all there to support us," he said.

Earlier, Bangladesh coach Javier Cabrera had announced a 23-man squad for the Singapore match. Other than Hamza, Canada-based footballer Shamit Shome and Italy-based booter Fahamedul Islam also made the cut.
