Messi narrowly escapes car crash in Florida
Lionel Messi's arrival to the United States of America nearly turned horrific as the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner nearly became the victim of a car crash while driving in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Friday.
Despite running through a red light, Messi, who had a police escort in front and behind him, took a left turn and the incoming car narrowly avoided crashing into Messi's car. TyC Sports broadcasted the video showing Messi leaving the Inter Miami training facilities aboard a luxurious white SUV.
Fortunately, both parties managed to evade a collision and no one was hurt.
Just before this, however, an eager fan almost came in front of Messi, trying to film the superstar.
The Inter Miami player probably won't face any legal action due to running the red light as he had the police escorts with him but as for anyone else committing the violation, it could cost them a $125 fine and three points off their driver's license.
