Modric becomes minority owner at Swansea

Real Madrid's Croatian midfielder Luka Modric has purchased a minority stake at English Championship League club Swansea City, according to multiple reports.
As per football journalist Fabrizio Romano and Goal.com, Modric has become a minority owner of the Welsh club and will join the team's board. However, the amount of his investment and his ownership percentage have not yet been revealed.
The 39-year-old Ballon d'Or winner is still a key member of Real Madrid's midfield. His current deal with the Spanish giants is set to run out this year but the Croat is reportedly keen to sign a contract extension.
Meanwhile, Swansea, which got related from the Premier League in the 2017-18 season, are struggling to find their way back to the top of English football.
Swansea are currently 12th in the Championship and are eight points off the playoffs with four games of the season to go.
The club is unlikely to earn a promotion this season, however, would hope that the inclusion of someone experienced like Modric in the decision-making role would help them claw their way back to the Premier League
