Neymar or Mbappe? I'd choose both: Florentino Perez

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez was hoping that Zinedine Zidan’s return can help the club refurbish the drawer and rekindle the football that brought them success under the manager previously. The aim would possibly be to go back to the ‘galacticos’ theory and sign two of the biggest stars in world football in the form of PSG stars Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

Perez was hoping that Zidane can lure compatriot Mbappe to the Spanish capital while saying that both players were wanted at the club.

"Zidane’s French so maybe he could do something with Mbappe,” Perez, with a laugh, told reporters.

The hopes for the ongoing season had dashed suddenly after Barcelona and Ajax inflicted major woes in domestic and European competitions -- La Liga, Copa del Rey and the Champions League. Since Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure the club has lacked a target man upfront with their other big names misfiring. Current transfer rumours suggest that Real could shatter the transfer record to bring in Brazilian playmaker Neymar.

Landing both PSG stars in this current transfer market climate is going to be difficult but when asked who he would choose between the two PSG stars, Perez instead answered “Both.”

Meanwhile Zinedine Zidane said he never had any doubts about returning to Real Madrid after he replaced the sacked Santiago Solari as coach on Monday.

"When the president called me the first thing I thought was: go," Zidane said at a press conference at the Santiago Bernabeu. "I could not say no, I never had any doubts about going back."

"I left because a change was needed at the end of last season, for the good of everyone, after winning so much," Zidane said.

"I returned because the president called me. I love him and I love this club, so here I am."
