Real Madrid's Camavinga sidelined with hamstring injury
Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga has been sidelined with a hamstring injury suffered during the club's 5-2 Copa del Rey win over Celta Viga, the club said Friday.
"Following tests carried out today on Eduardo Camavinga, he has been diagnosed with a muscle injury in his left hamstring. His recovery will be assessed," the European champions said in a statement.
The 22-year-old French international's injury is another blow, having already been sidelined with a left knee problem at the start of the season.
Camavinga's injury comes at a bad time for Real Madrid, who are 20th in the Champions League table and not assured of advancing to the knockout phase before hosting Salzburg on Wednesday.
Real are second in La Liga, one point behind city rivals Atletico, before this weekend's game at home against Las Palmas.
