Tariq Kazi back in training for Kuwait semifinal
Center-back Tariq Kazi returned to Bangladesh team's training session yesterday, raising hope that he might have a part to play in Saturday's semfinal of the SAFF Championship against Kuwait.
Tariq, who picked up a shin injury soon after giving Bangladesh a lead against Maldives on June 25, went through four days of rest before Friday's training session.
If Tariq returns to the playing eleven, Bishwanath Ghosh will return to his right-back position and Rahmat Mia, who started against Bhutan, will sit on the bench.
"He (Tariq) is doing positive and we have to be cautious because he has some soreness on his ankle. The recovery is going very well and let's see what happens in the training session today," coach Javier Cabrera said before the practice session.
"We don't want to say anything in advance. If he feels he can perform, then he will, or else another player will come in like against Bhutan. We are not concerned about it," added Cabrera.
