Yeasin, Hemanta omitted from 30-member camp

Two players were replaced due to injuries while five others were trimmed as Bangladesh football team's head coach Javier Cabrera announced a 30-member squad ahead of the training camp, which starts tomorrow.

Bashundhara Kings midfielder Sheikh Morsalin and Mohammedan forward Sazzad Hossen were drafted in place of Bashundhara's injured duo – Matin Mia and Saad Uddin. Sazzad has already represented Bangladesh but young Morsalin is yet to wear the red and green jersey.

Bashundhara Kings defender Yeasin Arafat, Sheikh Russel midfielder Hemanta Biswash, Sheikh Jamal midfielder Abu Shayed, Mohammedan defender Murad Hasan, and Abahani midfielder Mahadi Hasan Royel were the five players omitted from the initial 35-member squad.

The players will report to team manager Amer Khan at Hotel Regency tomorrow evening and will start their training, which will be held at the Bashundhara Kings Arena, the following day.

This team will leave for Cambodia on June 10 for a FIFA friendly five days later. Amer informed The Daily Star that they would decide on the number of players to be taken for the Camdodia trip after a few training sessions.

 The team will then fly to Bengaluru, India on June 16 to take part in the SAFF Championship, scheduled to be held from June 21 to July 04.
