There have nine different champions in the 14 iterations of the UEFA European Championships. Spain and Germany have each won thrice, France have two titles, while Italy, Greece, Netherlands, Denmark, Soviet Union and Czechoslovakia have one each.
To date, Spain are the only side in history to have won consecutive titles, doing so in 2008 and 2012.
