Teddy Sheringham in Dhaka
Former England international and Manchester United star, Teddy Sheringham, is in Dhaka to watch his son Charlie Sheringham play for newcomers Saif SC in Bangladesh Premier League.
Saif SC signed up Charlie Sheringham during the mid-season transfer window and the 29-year-old footballer struck two goals in four matches so far. Charlie is set to play his fifth match against Mohammedan SC in today’s encounter which starts from 6:30pm at Bangabandhu National Stadium.
“We invited Teddy Sheringham to come here in Bangladesh to watch the match of his son. Teddy arrived this morning after he accepted our invitation. He is scheduled to leave the capital on Monday morning as he is the head coach of the Atletico de Kolkata in the ongoing Indian Super League,” said Saif SC managing director Nasiruddin Chowdhury.
Teddy Sheringham scored 11 goals in 51matches while playing for England. He also played for Manchester United from 1997 to 2001, scoring 31 goals from 104 matches. Sheringham scored 98 times in 236 matches while playing for Tottenham Hotspurs.
