WFM Noshin Anjum was crowned the new champion after she played a out draw against Nusrat Jahan Alo in the 11th and final round of the Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib 41st National Women's Chess Championship at the Chess Federation Hall Room on Monday.

Noshin is the 10th player player to win the women's national chess title after WIM Rani Hamid, Yesmin Begum, WFM Syeda Shabana Parveen, WFM Tanima Parveen, WFM Zakia Sultana, WFM Nazrana Khan Eva, WIM Shamima Akter Liza, WFM Sharmin Sultana Shirin and WCM Jannatul Ferdous.

The Bangladesh Navy player earned a total of 8.5 points to become unbeaten champion while 18-time champion WIM Rani Hamid became runner-up with 7.5 points.
