Pakistan take on Sri Lanka in their Asia Cup Super Four encounter at the R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo today. It is a must-win affair for both sides, with the forecast of rain looming large. If rain washes out the match, Sri Lanka will qualify for the grand finale. Here are a few stats to show where the teams stand in head-to-head contests.
With a win-percentage of 59, Pakistan have a clear edge in terms of overall head-to-head results after having emerged winners in 92 of 155 outings. Sri Lanka won 58 times, while one game ended in a tie and four yielded no results.
Asia Cup records, however, stand heavily in favour of Sri Lanka as they boast an impressive win-percentage of 71.4, based on 10 victories in 14 fixtures.
The numbers are almost equal after 41 matches played in Sri Lanka as the hosts won 20 against Pakistan's 18. Three encounters provided no result, two of which were staged in Colombo.

The last time Sri Lanka played Pakistan at home, they won by 165 runs in Hambantota in 2015. In their previous Asia Cup meeting -- in the 2014 edition's final in Mirpur -- Sri Lanka secured a five-wicket victory.
Pakistan are enjoying their longest winning-streak, of 8, against the island nation since June 12, 2017 -- having surpassed their seven wins on the trot during 1992-94. Sri Lanka lost 11 of their previous 13 matches against Pakistan.
There have been two instances -- in 1996 and 2013 -- where both teams each scored 300-plus on the day.
