‘We gave our 110 per cent’
Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed stated that Bangladesh's players fired on all cylinders to achieve their historic maiden Test victory against New Zealand at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui today.
Taskin bagged three wickets in the second innings that aided the Tigers in pulling off a triumph for the ages as they dismantled the Kiwis by eight wickets. An ever-smiling Taskin expressed his joy following the emphatic win.
"It's a great achievement for us, our first [Test] win out of Asia," Taskin said. "We didn't think about the result. We stuck to the process and gave our hundred per cent," the pacer added while thanking the Bangladeshi crowd who showed up to witness the memorable win.
""It is lovely to have this support. Normally in New Zealand, we have played a lot of games. This is our first win," Taskin concluded.
