Bangladesh Test skipper Mominul Haque had earlier said that they were subjected to incessant sledging during the first Test against South Africa at Kingsmead in Durban.

However, facing the media before the second Test at Port Elizabeth tomorrow, Mominul said that he actually never complained about sledging during the first Test.

"I never complained about sledging," said Mominul when asked regarding the matter at a virtual press conference today.

"Because in cricket, sledging happens and you need to absorb it. And you have to take it very easily. I never actually complained about it," Mominul added.

After staying competitive throughout the first four days of the Durban Test, a batting collapse in the Tigers' second innings saw the visitors get bundled out for just 53 as South Africa wrapped up the game inside the first hour of Day 5.

But despite suffering a heavy defeat in the first Test, Mominul said that his troops are in a relaxed mood and are in no way mentally bogged down.

"I don't think they had defeated us mentally during the first Test. Had that been the case, we would not have played the first four days the way we did.

"There are a lot of positives to take from the Durban Tes. Taskin [Ahmed] and Khaled [Ahmed] bowled well, [Mahmudul Hasan] Joy and Liton [Das] also played very good knocks. We just batted very poorly in the final session.  But I think everyone is in a very good and relaxed mood. Everyone is very confident," Mominul said.
