West Indies batter Kyle Mayers said the unbeaten 210 he scored in his debut Test against Bangladesh in Chittagong was the 'most memorable moment of his international career'. 

Mayers, who is playing for Bangladesh Premier League side Fortune Barishal, became the first player in 144 years of Test cricket history to score a double hundred on debut and that too in the fourth innings as he led the Windies to a three-wicket win in the first of the two-match series in Chattogram in 2021.

"It is my highest Test innings. For me, my most memorable moment in international cricket. My team offered to put down that number, and I'm thankful for it. That's a reminder, it inspiring as well, it's just a great gesture from them," Mayers told reporters after a training session at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Sunday. 

The 32-year-old has already confirmed that his stint in the ongoing edition of the BPL will last for five games. The all-rounder has already played two matches in Dhaka, scoring six and 13 respectively. With the ball, however, he scalped two wickets in Barishal's four-wicket win over Durbar Rajshahi in the first match but went wicketless in the second against Rangpur Riders which they lost by eight wickets.

"It's only been two games. Obviously, you can't score runs in every game. Hopefully, I will get my momentum. I came into the middle of the season last year. This season I'm here from the start. Obviously, it's different conditions. It's just two games, not worried at all. Just focused on the job, and to get the job done," Mayers said.
