An expert all-round display from Khushdil Shah and the new ball sizzle from pacer Akif Javed saw league leaders Rangpur Riders beat Chittagong Kings by 33 runs and confirm their spot into the top four of the Bangladesh Premier League in Chattogram on Friday.

At the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, the left-handed Khushdil exhibited some muscle power as he smashed seven sixes and two fours in a blistering 28-ball 59 to give Rangpur's innings impetus and propel them to 164-7. He came in midway into the 11th over when Rangpur were reeling at 67-3 and took little time to get the a big shot away. 

Javed headlined with the ball as he scalped four wickets for 32 runs, while Khushdil chipped in with two as Rangpur restricted Chittagong to 131-8 to romp to an eighth consecutive victory from as many matches. 

Shamim Hossain top-scored for Chittagong with a 31-ball 38.
